Charter Company FAQ's

Q: Does it cost anything to list our company and aircraft?
A: No. There is no charge to list your charter company or aircraft. If Aircompair provides a pending charter to your company, and you accept the charter, Aircompair will provide you with the customer contact information. The only requirement for listing your aircraft on Aircompair is to provide Aircompair with wholesale charter rates, which will be advertised and provided to Aircompair’s membership.

Q: What information is needed to activate our account?
A: Basic information about your company is needed to open your account. An Aircompair administrator will then get in touch with you to confirm your account activation. After confirmation, you can start entering information about your aircraft. A charter welcome packet will be mailed to you that will contain additional information.

Q: How does Aircompair work?
A: Aircompair is an air charter membership services company for air charter customers. Aircompair members build itineraries, specifying aircraft requirements, and view information and instant charter quotes for all aircraft within a specified radius around the departure airport that meet specified itinerary requirements. A charter search result will display the information about the charter company, aircraft, flight time, discounted charter estimate, and include text descriptions and photos of the aircraft in our database of charter operators. The customer reviews these options and can request a reservation through our site. The chosen charter operator will get immediate notification of the pending charter. If accepted, the charter operator is provided the customer contact information to finalize the details of the charter.

Q: What specific information is required about our aircraft?
A: Aircraft information must be entered in order for your aircraft to show up in a customers search. Aircraft information includes a/c type, passenger capacity, performance data, text description, and optional pictures. Pricing information is also required so Aircompair can provide instant quote estimates to the customer. Our pricing entry format is very easy to use and very advanced to give charter operators complete control and flexibility when entering pricing information. While Aircompair will never dictate minimum or maximum pricing to the operator, we do require that the standard broker discount percentage for aircraft charges be offered for representation to the customer. This pricing information is used strictly to construct charter estimates and will never be distributed in any other manner.

Q: How do we find out about a pending charter?
A: After a customer has requested a reservation from your company and aircraft, you will receive instant notification via email of the pending charter. In addition, an Aircompair representative will contact you to advise you of the charter. In the email, you will be provided a link to our website where you will be able to review the itinerary, terms, and price estimate of the pending charter. If you choose to accept the charter, you will be supplied with the customer’s contact information. This becomes your customer and you can use your own policy and procedures for setting up the details of the charter.

Q: Can we reject a pending charter?
A: Yes. There are no restrictions in refusing a pending charter.

Q: How does Aircompair make money?
A: Aircompair’s revenue comes from a membership fee charged annually to our customers. This fee gives our members access to broker discounted prices and our proprietary on-line charter search engine. Aircompair charges no commissions for air charter services. Aircompair receives no payment from charter operators for listing their company or aircraft. All information entered into our site (charter operator and customer) is used only for the purpose of pairing the customer with the charter operator. No information gathered at Aircompair is distributed to any outside organization or entity. Aircompair does not sell mailing lists or personal contact information. Plus, there are no “pop-up” ads at Aircompair!

Q: What happens if a charter is cancelled before its planned departure?
A: Your normal policies and procedures are controlling for changes or cancellations to a planned charter.

Q: How is availability controlled?
A: Aircompair has an availability calendar on our site for operators to manually enter times when their aircraft are not available. Aircraft can also be “turned off” so they will not be included in any charter search. Aircompair is working with scheduling software providers CTA-FOS, Bart, and Flight Pak to provide automatic availability updating into Aircompair. Obviously, accurate availability data is essential, so we encourage operators to update availability information often.

Q: What special features does Aircompair offer charter operators?
A: Aircompair offers many unique features...

"Aircraft away from base" allow operators to change an aircraft’s base for a temporary period of time, allowing them to participate in a charter search from a different local market when their aircraft are sitting idle in a different location.

"Empty legs" can be entered into our site to be advertised to customers. You may wish to highly discount these segments to assist in booking your empty segments.

"Pictures and text descriptions" of your aircraft are included for display on a customers charter search. This feature has brought many positive comments from the many air charter customers we have demonstrated our site for, and provides an excellent marketing opportunity for your company.

"Incidental Charges" is a text section to highlight and represent any fees or charges that may not be required for every charter. For example, additional crew members, special catering requirements, hourly wait prices, or airport specific charges may be disclosed.

Company Advertising - In addition to including text descriptions and pictures of your aircraft, Aircompair will link members directly to your company’s website. All charter searches include the company name of all charter operators whose aircraft meets the requirements of the member’s proposed itinerary.
